DIRECTIONS
PLAYA RITOQUE is in the region of Valparaiso not in Valparaiso city! 40min from Viña del Mar, 45min from Valparaiso, 3hrs from Stantiago!
From Santiago By Bus:
Take Condor (faster) or Pullman (cheaper) buses from Terminal San Borja (Estación Central) directly to Quintero. Alternatively take Santiagos metro red line down to Pajaritos and jump on the bus there. This will save you about 30min innercity traffic.
From Valparaiso By Bus:
Take a micro (small bus with Quintero sign in the front window) from the main street Av. Errázuriz” (down at the seafront) directly to Quintero.
From Viña Del Mar By Bus:
Take a micro (small bus with Quintero sign in the front window) from anywhere on Av. Liberdad or on the corner of Plaza Vergara.
From the North, South or Argentina:
Take any long-distance bus to Valparaiso or Viña del Mar and follow the instructions above!
From Quintero:
Take a taxi or collectivo to Playa Ritoque (dont pay more than $2.000) and ask the driver to drop you off on the beach! Once you hit the beach you will see a little path on your right. Follow that and turn right and spot our sign! Woohoo!! Bienvenido!
By Car From Santiago:
Follow the Alameda (Av. Lib. Bernardo O´Higgins), until you reach the turn-off to Ruta 68 direction Valparaiso, to avoid the pay toll roads that run around Santiago. Follow Ruta 68 and just before Valparaiso take the turn-off to ´Con-Con´. At the big roundabout (where you can see the Pacific for the first time) take the 2nd exit, following the sign ´Quintero´. Enjoy the last 22kms, running along the coast and the dunes. Take the time to stop along the way or try to spot some of the crazy houses hiding in the dunes. Follow the ´Quintero´ turn-off until you come to a big bend at the beginning of town. Turn left and follow the big yellow sign ´Playa Ritoque´ until you hit the beach! Please note that on Ruta 68 you will be passing two pay toll stations, costing you $1.500 each on a weekday or $2.100 on the weekends and public holidays.
